Mack Copper Project
The Mack Copper Project is located in a development-friendly region with world class deposits, including Brucejack and The Red Chris mine
Location and Access
Located only 23km from Dease Lake, The Mack Project covers 5433.95 ha.
Regional Geology
METL Mining’s, Mack Project is located in the Dease Lake area which straddles a boundary between the Cache Creek and Stikine terranes and is known for its wide range of mineralization styles.
Targets
There are two known metallic mineral occurrences within and near the Mack Project claim boundaries.
1. The main target is Mack, indicated to be a porphyry Mo-Au-W prospect located within the Snow Peak pluton.
2. A poly metallic Ag – Pb – Zn ± Au quartz vein showing associated with dikes cutting Takwahoni sedimentary rocks west of the Mack area.
Geophysics
Historical geophysical data modeling shows a donut-like magnetic body feature with a lower susceptibility core, which may be a result of alteration and mineralization at depth.
Soil sampling in 2018 presented data that supports a top of a Reduced Intrusion-Related deposit with potential for Cu-Mo+Au type deposit.
2020 Drilling
Historic Confirmation
Drilling in 2020 was conducted to confirm anomalous gold values from 1976 and 1979 trenching programs.
All three holes host chalcopyrite and molybdenite from the start to end of the hole.
Chalcopyrite and molybdenite are hosted by quartz pyrite fractures and veins.
